Trinidad & Tobago’s leg-spinner Samuel Badree made his first-class debut in 2001-02 and played his first List A match the following season. But it was not until 2012, when he made his debut in a T20 International against New Zealand, that he got a taste of international cricket.
He was part of the West Indies team that lifted the 2012 ICC World T20 title in Colombo. The leg-spinner is known to be a very difficult customer to score off; among bowlers with more than 50 wickets in the T20 format, Badree has the best economy rate the world over. An integral part of the T&T team, Badree made his IPL debut with Rajasthan Royals in the 2013 season before being inducted in to the Chennai Super Kings side in 2014.
