CLT20 debut 2009

William Perkins, an aggressive right-hand opener from Trinidad & Tobago, came to the fore in the 2006 Under-19 World Cup in Sri Lanka when he registered a tournament top-score of 133. He later made his T20 debut for T&T, and subsequently earned a spot in West Indies' provisional 30-man squad for the World Twenty20 in South Africa. Perkins however didn’t make it to the final list but continued to be a vital part of the T&T squad. He was handed his international Twenty20 debut when he was 21, in a seven-wicket win over Australia at Kensington Oval in June 2008. He gave T&T rousing starts during the Champions League in India in 2009. Perkins is also a part-time wicketkeeper, but batting remains his prime focus.
