Only the fourth Australian left-arm pacer to cross the 100-wicket mark in Tests, Mitchell Johnson managed to establish himself at the highest level despite his rebelling body. After bouncing back from four stress fractures early in his career, Johnson became an integral part of the Aussie team. A foot injury followed sidelined him for almost a year. But not one to give up, Johnson fought the pain, came back to play some domestic games before returning to the ODIs in the recent UAE series against Pakistan. Picked by the Mumbai Indians at the 2012 IPL Players Auction, Johnson couldn’t make it on time for the tournament due to injury. But he, along with Lasith Malinga in the 2012 CLT20 on South African pitches, will form one of the most formidable fast bowling attacks in the tournament. With a Test century against his name and the ability to hit the cricket ball hard, Johnson adds to MI’s list of flamboyant all-rounders.
