Sehwag to be fit in time for CLT20
DD opener expected to recover from ankle sprain in time for first game
In what has come as a huge relief to the Delhi Daredevils ahead of CLT20 2012, Virender Sehwag is expected to recover from his ankle injury soon and will take part in the whole tournament.
Daredevils team manager, TA Sekar, infromed the media that the opening batsman will join the team in South Africa in time for their first game.
“I havent seen Sehwag but going by the reports of my physio and the chat I had with Team India’s physio, it is just a minor sprain. He’s undergoing rehab and will be fit for the first game,” Sekar said.
Sehwag had sprained his ankle while celebrating the fall of a wicket during India’s last match in the World Twenty20, against South Africa. He limped off the field and didn’t field for the rest of the innings.
The Daredevils start their campaign on October 13, against the Kolkata Knight Riders – in the second match of the tournament’s league phase.
